Law and Justice students from Murray County High School and North Murray High School had the opportunity to participate in a Justice Career Expo yesterday. It was organized by CTAE teachers Katy Sane (MCHS) and Brett Morrison (NMHS). The expo provided students with valuable insights into the various facets of the law and justice sector, including the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Murray County Fire Department, Murray County Sheriff's Office, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and the Georgia State Patrol.
One of the highlights of the event was the live K-9 Unit demonstration. Max, trained in detecting and locating electronic devices, and Dex, trained in narcotics, stole the show with impressive skills.
Hearing firsthand stories and experiences from these professionals undoubtedly left a lasting impression on the young minds. When asked about his favorite aspect of the job, Georgia State Patrolman Shawn Sutherland stated, "Interactions with people, the opportunity to change people's lives, making sure everybody's safe......we want you to make it (home) safe, your family, your friends."
Thank you so much to
the agencies and our CTAE teachers who made this expo possible! #URmurray#thesettingofyoursuccessisMCS
