Dear Parents of Murray County Schools’ 10th Graders:
Murray County Schools in partnership with Murray and Whitfield Family Connection, Dalton Public Schools and Whitfield County Schools are excited to announce the production of the 11th Annual Teen Maze Event.
Teen Maze is an event at which students have the opportunity to face consequences of randomly selected life-style choices associated with risky youth behaviors in a safe and controlled environment. The maze is set up as an interactive “Game of Life.” Students will have the opportunity to examine the consequences of life’s choices in a hands-on, realistic and educational way.
Teens navigate through a maze that presents different scenarios and related consequences. The goal is to increase their understanding of personal responsibility and the importance of making positive life choices. Each scenario will be staffed by appropriate professionals who will present the information and discuss the consequences associated with that scenario.
All Murray County Schools 10th grade students will participate in the Teen Maze on Wednesday, September 27th at the North Georgia Agricultural Fairgrounds. Your student will be transported by Murray County Schools’ bus transportation to and from the North Georgia Agricultural Fairgrounds, Dalton, GA on the schools designated day.
If you have any questions regarding Teen Maze please contact your child’s school. If a parent/guardian does not wish his/her child to be allowed to participate in the Teen Maze, they must notify the school via email to lisa.giles@murray.k12.ga.us NO later than Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
