Congratulations to Bagley Middle School, Eton Elementary, and Northwest Elementary on being selected as recipients of prestigious STEM grants from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Seven hundred fifteen applicants from across seven states applied, with only 343 applications selected and only ten from Georgia.
Bagley was awarded $5,000 for their robotics program. Mr. Odell has a team assembled, and they have already been working on building up the program. This grant will help with purchasing much-needed equipment and coding software.
Northwest Elementary was awarded $2,500 for a solar oven and other solar power projects and experiments to help students fully understand the Sun's incredible power! Mrs. Minter applied for the grant for Northwest Elementary and is excited about these cool STEM projects!
Eton Elementary was awarded $5,000 for supplies for their Glow Forge 3D printer and other hands-on activities in the Makerspace in the media center.
Congratulations to these schools, and a huge thank you to the Tennessee Valley Authority and North Georgia Electric for supporting our schools!
